A Novel DC Bias Suppression Strategy for Single-Phase Full-Bridge DC-DC Arc Welding Converter

The high frequency transformer in single-phase full-bridge DC-DC converter is prone to saturation because of the asymmetry circuit parameters. Transformer will increase power consumption, accelerate aging winding insulation, and even damage switches. In order prevent this risk, a DC bias suppression strategy presented article, main advantage that problem can be completely eliminated. firstly, mechanism are analyzed detail, Maximum Integral Value Volt-Second Product error (MIVVSPE) derived. Secondly, aiming at full bridge converter, new digital integral designed evaluate state transformer, constructed suppress transformer. Furthermore, different from traditional current feedback control strategy, based on volt-second product triggered before enters state, suppressed. Finally, 30 kW for arc welding established lab. experimental results show effectively entering improve operation stability inverter.
